Aly's Blessing

On April 5th we were able to finally have Aly's blessing. Due to some scheduling conflicts and the good timing of having family in town, we had a nice private blessing at our home. Aly is absolutely precious and her blessing was beautiful. It was so nice to have all the family around for that special event.

At 4 weeks old we took Aly for her first photo shoot. She behaved great between all the screaming :) We got some really great photos and had a lot a fun. Here are some of our favorites!!!

Aly finally got to meet her only girl cousin, Alyssa. It was so cute, you could tell they were friends before being born. It was adorable to watch them looking at each other, both smiling and then they held hands... SO CUTE!!!!! Of course grandpa is feeling overwhelmed by females again!!!! hehe :)

My Angel

Well, I have a lot of catching up to do. Aly has changed so much and is getting cuter every day. She loves her daddy and lays and talks to him every night. Aly had her immunizations today and handled them amazingly well. Understandably she's not feeling too well today, so it calls for some major pampering :) lucky her :) She smiles more and more and we even got some giggles out of her. She's getting really stong and can already hold her head up and loves to sit up as much as she can. She's sleeping a little better at night but the routine went a little backwards this last week. So we are working on it all over again. My maternity leave is up this week and it breaks my heart to have to leave her. Hopefully we can figure out a way to work from home as soon as possible.

Welcome Home Aly

Well, the most exciting bit of information since the creation of this blog would be the birth of our little angel Alyana. Aly was born on Feb 2nd 2009. She was 9 days late, and weighed 6 lbs 8 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. Aly is our little miracle. After two years of trying to get pregnant, we were very pleasantly surprised while simply waiting to start hormone treatments. She has completely taken over our hearts and our home and I wouldn't have it any other way. She is continuously smiling, and it's not gas ;) Since bringing her home from the hospital life has been pretty different. We got off to a rough start with her refusing to sleep at night and me getting sick from some medication I took in the hospital. I am very grateful to all my family and especially my mum for getting me through such a fun time! Thank goodness things have greatly improved. Aly has started catching on to the night thing and I'm getting some sleep!! Pesh is of course wrapped around her little finger, it's adorable to watch. He hates leaving her to go to work, he is such a good daddy. It's amazing how much life can change in an instant, but we are loving our new role as parents!
